Global Perspective
From a very young age, I set out to reduce the size of the Earth in my own mind by exploring with a focus on understanding this world and its people. There is no better education than traveling with “intention”.
Travel isn’t cheap when I was young I found ways to use my businesses to see the world. In the financial industry, I would qualify for national and international trips that were comped by the companies I represented. These incentive trips nearly always provided 5-star accommodations. I visited four continents using this method. But it wasn’t enough to satisfy my travel appetite so I started a band and focused on the international market. We eventually performed in over 100 countries! Everything provided by the company hiring the band. Flights, hotels, and ground.
Due to the success of these businesses and some wise property & market investing, I can now afford to spend my time going from one country to another and staying weeks or months in one place rather than just a few days which was usually the case with the band. Immersing in one locale give a much deeper understanding of the culture and systems in place there.
Whether I’m living in Asia, Australia, Europe or elsewhere, I rent out three properties on Airbnb which bring in more income than I can possibly spend (you can rent these place as well). I no longer need to work but I still put in lots of hours managing Liquid Blue as well as book authoring. I’ll eventually blog about my experiences.
The key to setting up a “Liquid Life” is to organize your life and priorities at a young age. Most importantly, find an occupation that you truly love so you can put your heart and soul into it. I love my work which is why I don’t stop.
Below are some pics of a few of the places I’ve visited over the years. I hope these will help inspire others to “go for it” and live your dreams.
